What's For Lunch?

We have some colds going around right now, so today was onion soup and sandwiches. What did you have? We are getting sick of the same ol', same ol'. Inspire me, please.

OOOH! That looks so good. Did you bake the bread? I'm running out of lunch ideas too but that sure does look yummy.

I've got to say that onion soup looks might fine!!!

We've had a heatwave for the last fortnight here so we've hardly cooked as its just been far too hot. But I'm having zucchini fritters today - grated zucchini, grated onion, crushed garlic, crumbled feta cheese, dill, parsley, a couple of eggs, flour and salt and pepper. Made into fritters and cooked in a little olive oil. YUM!
Hope everyone is feeling better soon!

I don't even like onions but that soup looks so yummy. Of course with a slice of that bread I'd probably like anything!

I'm at a loss for lunch ideas, too. It's like I spend all my time on planning dinners and lunch gets neglected so we wind up eating peanut butter and ham all the time.

Thank you, everyone! Yep, I made that bread. We have not had store bought bread since before the new year. I must say, the smell of bread baking in the oven nearly every day is very comforting.

Annette - Zucchini fritters sound lovely, especially with the feta. Yum!

Christine, I totally understand about spending so much time planning dinner that lunch becomes something in the background. We eat a lot of leftovers for lunch, and that helps, too.
